Arsene Wenger says Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil should
be fit for the visit of Chelsea next Sunday.
The Germany international was sidelined for the north
London side’s goalless draw with Stoke City at
the Britannia Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
Ozil was recovering from an inflammation of his foot
followingArsenal’s
thrilling 3-3 draw with Liverpool at
Anfield in the Premier League mid-week.
However, Arsenal manager Wenger reassured concerned
supporters that Ozil should be fine when Chelsea make
the trip to the Emirates Stadium next weekend.
“I think so. He should be alright. He was not 100 per
cent because of an inflammation of his foot. It was nothing too bad. Overall,
he should be ready,” Wenger told BBC Radio 5 Live.
