Thierry Henry has taken to social media to tell Arsenal
that it is time to “act like champions” after the north London side’s dramatic
2-1 win over Leicester City on Sunday.
The Gunners had to come from a goal down to earn the
three points against the high-flying Foxes at Emirates Stadium after Jamie
Vardy gave the visitors the lead from the penalty spot in the first half.
Leicester had Danny Simpson sent off shortly after
half-time and substitute Theo
Walcott brought Arsenal level, before Danny Welbeck came off the
bench to glance home Mesut Ozil’s free-kick deep into stoppage time.
The result left Arsenal third in the Premier
League table and two points behind leaders Leicester heading into the
final 12 games of the season.
And the former Gunners striker had a strong message for
the Arsenal squad on Monday morning.
He tweeted
The north London side have not won the title since Henry was playing for the club back in the 2003-04 season.
