Arsene Wenger has confirmed Arsenal will be
without Mesut Ozil, Laurent Koscielny and Olivier Giroud for the Gunners’
opening league game against Liverpool.
Koscielny and Giroud last played on July 10th when France
lost out to Portugal in the final of Euro 2016, while Ozil has had slightly
more time off given Germany were knocked out in the semi-finals.
Aaron Ramsey and Alexis Sanchez both travelled with the Arsenal
squad to Scandinavia and could feature against Manchester City on Sunday.
However, Wenger confirmed after 8-0 win against
Viking FK that the trio will miss the Liverpool game.
‘The Liverpool game will come too early for them,’ said
Wenger.
