The former Chelsea striker
Didier Drogba made into MLS All stars team which will plays against Arsenal Wenger's boys
And the Ivorian veteran, 38, is expected to lead the line
for the MLS XI when Arsenal head to San Jose for the league’s showcase game on
July 28.
Drogba’s former Chelsea team-mates Ashley Cole and Frank Lampard did
not make the 26-man squad, however.
Nor is there any room for LA Galaxy pair Steven Gerrard and Robbie Keane .
But Andrea Pirlo ,
David Villa, Clint Dempsey, Sebastian Giovinco and Kaka all made the
star-studded MLS selection and should give Wenger’s side a test.
Arsenal are expected to field a strong team despite
manager Wenger admitting last week that he plans to give the likes of Olivier
Giroud, Lorient Koscielny, Alexis Sanchez ,
Mesut Ozil and Aaron Ramsey extra time off to recuperate after their
international exertions this summer.
