Arsenal have reportedly failed with a winter bid for
Napoli playmaker Jorginho.
The 24-year-old has been in top form for the Italian
outfit this term, and this is said to have caught the eye of Gunners scouts.
According to Italian outlet Tuttomercato, the Gunners have been rebuffed in their chase for Jorginho, who inked a new long-term deal at Napoli last December.
It is added that the Naples outfit are unlikely to entertain more offers for the Brazilian-born midfielder as they seek to challenge for the league title during the second half of the campaign.
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is said to have a £70m transfer kitty to make an exceptional signing before the transfer deadline.
