Alexis Sanchez has insisted that he has no plans to quit
Arsenal in the near future.
The Chile international has developed into a talismanic
figure at Emirates Stadium since joining the club from Barcelona in
the summer of 2014.
Sanchez has been a regular fixture in Arsene Wenger’s
first team and helped the north London side win their second successive FA Cup
title last season.
Arsenal have
struggled to keep hold of their top players in recent years, with the likes of Robin van
Persie and Cesc Fabregas among
the former Gunners to have left the club.
However, the 27-year-old Sanchez appears to be fully committed
to the Arsenal cause, if his latest comments are anything to go by.
Former Udinese man Sanchez is quoted as saying by the Daily Mirror: “I am very happy at Arsenal and I’m not
thinking about leaving.
“The unity here between fans, club and players is
enormous and the supporters have been fantastic. We suffer the defeats and
enjoy the victories together.
“This campaign we are demonstrating that we are serious
candidates for the Premier League title.
I think there can be no doubt about our credentials to be champions this
time.”
Sanchez will be hoping to help Arsenal win their first
Premier League title this season since their famous unbeaten triumph in
2003-04.
