Granit Xhaka will earn £120,000 a week at Arsenal from
next season, according to reports.
The midfielder became the north London club’s first
signing of the summer transfer window after Arsene Wenger moved quickly to
bolster his squad at The Emirates.
The 23-year-old will be hoping to establish himself as a
regular in the Arsenal first team next season as he bids to help Wenger’s men
win the Premier League for the first time since 2004.
Now, the Daily Star is reporting that Xhaka will earn £120,000
a week, placing him only behind Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez in the pecking
order at The Emirates.
The same report goes on to say that Ozil earns £190,000 a
week, while Alexis Sanchez is the second highest earner on £130,000 a week.
Theo Walcott is said to be the club’s fourth highest
earner, with the forward said to be on wages of £110,000 a week, ahead of
Olivier Giroud and Petr Cech on £100,000 a week..
