Pirlo explains why he think Ozil is the most creative player in Europe

Andrea Pirlo has labelled Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil the most "creative player in Europe".

Ozil has made 16 assists in all competitions already this season, with only Borussia Dortmund's Henrikh Mkhitaryan (17) setting up more chances for his team-mates.

Pirlo, who joined New York City FC after leaving Juventus in the summer, is a big admirer of the Germany international and recently named him in his dream Premier League XI.

The playmaker told Shortlist magazine: "Ozil is the most creative player in Europe right now. He creates an unbelievable amount of chances for attackers playing ahead of him.

"He has vision like nobody else in Europe."

On Sunday Ozil also displayed his ability in front of goal by scoring the opener in Arsenal's 2-0 win over Bournemouth.

That result brought to an end a poor run of form which had seen the Gunners fail to score in three of their previous four Premier League games.
