Arsenal will offer Hector Bellerin a new five-year contract in an attempt to fend off interest from the likes of Manchester City and Barcelona, according to reports.
Bellerin has made 80 appearances for the Gunners since
making his debut for the north London outfit back in 2013 but the 21-year-old
has consistently been linked with a move away from the Emirates.
The Daily Mirror suggest Arsene Wenger is set to put a
five-year deal on the table for the right-back to try to ensure his future
remains in north London.
Premier League rivals Man City have made contact over the
availability of Bellerin but Arsenal have made it clear that they are
determined to hold onto the highly-rated defender.
La Liga giants Barcerlona, where Bellerin came through the ranks as a youngster, have also made no secret of their interest in bringing the Spaniard back to the Nou Camp.
‘We’ve already seen him as a Cule! He’s a great player,
there’s no doubt about that,’ Barca vice president Jordi Mestre
recently told Sport.
