Arsene Wenger’s confident that Mesut Ozil and Alexis
Sanchez will commit their futures to the club but insists new deals for the
pair are not urgent.
The duo have less than two years to run on their current
contracts and the Gunners have been in lengthy negotiations with the pair since
2015.
After so many rounds of talks, Arsenal fans are worried
that they could lose their prised assets next summer
However, though Wenger says the club are not focused on
new deals for the pair right now, he’s confident they will commit to the
Gunners.
‘We keep that [information] internally and we make progress always but it’s not always a quick process,’ said Wenger.
‘They still have two years contract, so there’s no
urgency as well.
‘Most of the time
the extensions of a contract are done outside the transfer window because it
gives you a bit more time and focus on that.’
