The Gunners
striker scored twice in Sunday’s 5-2 win over Iceland, and has had a strong
tournament overall.
Ozil,
meanwhile, has not quite been at his best for a Germany side still feeling
their way into the competition, though he did score in their quarter-final win
over Italy.
Giroud admits
France will have to keep the playmaker quiet if they are to progress to the
final this Thursday.
‘Ozil is a
very talented player in terms of his passing and his vision for Arsenal and for
Germany,’ Giroud is quoted in the Daily
Mirror.
‘He likes to
drift between the lines so you have to keep an eye on him. We will have to stop
him.’
